Anil is an LA-based actor and writer, who spent his formative years in Kent, Ohio, along with his parents and two older sisters. He holds a BA in Psychology from Kent State University and earned his MFA from the Professional Actor Training Program at Rutgers University. Anil has had an extensive career in television, theatre and film. His television credits include leading, recurring and guest starring roles in Nip/Tuck, Six Feet Under, 24 (as the sinister Khalil Hasan), JAG, ER, as well as Law & Order. Anil has also performed on just about every stage in every major city across in the United States. He made his NYC stage debut alongside Alec Baldwin, Angela Basset and Liev Schreiber in the Public Theater’s production of MACBETH. He was also a regular on the NBC series “State of Affairs” with Katherine Heigl. In 2014, he wrote and produced a one-man play in Los Angeles called “I Thought I Was White”, a semi-autobiographical, cautionary tale of how he came to terms with his Indian heritage, and achieved spiritual enlightenment. In addition to acting, Anil has co-written three children's books: My Dog Fred, I Had a Dog Named Mac, and The Grateful DOODS. Anil is married to Kim, the love of his life and is damn lucky that she continues to put up with him.
